Today's Itinerary:Fuxian Lake- Lu Chong Scenic Area - Jianshui Ancient City
1: Start your tour around the lake; the East Shore Road winds along the mountainside—enjoy a leisurely afternoon. Next, drive to the east shore to begin your loop around the lake. The Time Boardwalk stretches over the waters of Fuxian Lake, with reeds gently swaying in the breeze. Find a spot you like, pull over, and take some beautiful photos while looking out over the entireFuxian Lake...and the azure lake comes into view.

2: After breakfast, we’ll set out by car; in less than two hours, we’ll arrive at the beautiful highland lake [Fuxian Lake】(The unpolluted lake water is crystal-clear, and a gentle highland breeze ripples across its vast expanse of azure waters.) First, we’ll visit 【Luchong Scenic Area】, Our friends in Kunming say that if you haven’t been to Luchong, it’s as if you haven’t been to Fuxian Lake at all. We strolled along the beach here and climbed Bijiashan Mountain to look down onFuxian Lake(The trail up Bijiashan consists of steps and is relatively gentle; it takes about 20 minutes to reach the summit on foot, making it an easy and leisurely hike suitable for all ages.)

3: Arrival in the eveningJianshui，JianshuiThis small town originally featured an earthen wall built during the Nanzhao period, which was expanded into a brick wall in the 20th year of the Hongwu era of the Ming Dynasty (1387). When Li Dingguo captured Lin’an City, the north, south, and west watchtowers were destroyed in the fighting; they were repaired in the 4th year of the Kangxi era but were later damaged again. Only the Chaoyang Tower at the East Gate, despite having endured numerous wars and earthquakes, still stands tall today, nearly six hundred years later. Jianshui County established its first Confucian academy as early as the Yuan Dynasty. During the Hongwu era of the Ming Dynasty, the Lin’an Prefectural Academy was built, and during the Wanli era, the Jianshui Prefectural Confucian Academy was constructed. During the Qing Dynasty, four academies—Chongzheng, Huanwen, Chongwen, and Qujiang—were successively established. At that time, the region was known as ”Linbanbang” (Lin’an Accounts for Half the List), meaning that among those who passed the imperial examinations in Yunnan, approximately half were from Lin’an Prefecture. This made it the top-performing region in Yunnan and a rare phenomenon nationwide. Consequently, Jianshui has long been renowned as a ”Land of Literary Tradition” and the ”Zou and Lu of Southern Yunnan.”
